Culver’s Harvest Veggie Burger

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Culver’s Harvest Veggie Burger gets five out of five stars. Culver’s is a fast food chain found in the Midwest of the United States. Culver’s is known for its butter burgers and the Harvest Veggie Burger is the vegetarian option. They cook the patty on an flat iron grill and serve the it in a buttered bun, usually with the works. Every time I have ordered the burger, the cashiers made a point to say that the burger contains eggs. They have had the veggie burger for years but did not put it on the menu and advertise it till Burger King came out with the Impossible Whopper.

The Harvest Burger throws some people off because it does not look like meat. The top three ingredients of the burger are milk, flour, and barley. From what I have seen, it is uncommon to find meatless burgers without soy or vegetables as the first ingredients. The patty has cheese in the middle that help carry the fatty flavor meatless burgers need. The burger does have a slight oniony flavor which may turn some people away. The texture of the patty is soft and not chewy like a meat burger. The burger can be served with the usual works, like lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and pickles, which helps hide the nonmeat taste. The patty itself is 260 calories, but the burger as a whole with the works is 590 calories. The total burger also has 25g of fat and 19g of protein. In comparison, the “original” butter burger, without the works, is 390 calories with 17g of fat. The Harvest Burger costs $4.40 at Culver’s. In conclusion, Culver’s Harvest Burger is a good burger especially if you like to get extra toppings on your burger.
